She was troubled – we came from a great family but circumstances outside of our family caused my sister to be among the most vile people roaming this earth. She set me up on the first week of 9th grade saying I had said something about a popular kid on AIM. Unbeknownst to me, he was waiting and attacked me from behind. I was 4-ish years younger this kid and mostly defenseless, I probably would have died had it not been for a traffic cop who happened to drive by.

I wound-up in the hospital and he wound-up being charged with a crime. My sister – who perpetually avoided disaster and was above the age of majority at the time – was discovered to have orchestrated the attack. I had a limp for a year. After the beating, my sister was forced out of the house and I never saw much of her. We haven’t spoken since

MPs debated changing the law in September but the proposals were voted down by a majority. Noel Conway with his wife Carol Credit: James Strachan QC said that it was inappropriate for the courts to interfere with Parliament’s legitimate decision on the “sensitive moral, social and ethical issue” raised by the case. Assisted Dying It is the first challenge to the existing law since the case of Tony Nicklinson, who suffered from paralysis after a stroke.

That was ultimately dismissed in June by the Supreme Court, which said it was important that Parliament debated the issues before any decision was made by the courts. After debates in the House of Commons and the House of Lords, Parliament decided, at least for the moment, not to provide for legislative exceptions to the Act. Mr Conway’s counsel, Richard Gordon QC, said it was a “very narrowly focused” case which sought only to challenge the blanket ban on assisted dying for a relatively small category, which included Mr Conway.

This covered adults over 18 who were diagnosed with a terminal illness with a prognosis of six months or less, who had mental capacity, who had made a “voluntary, clear, settled and informed” decision to receive assistance to die, and who retained the ability to undertake the final act required to bring about their death. The evidence demonstrated that a practical scheme, including suitable safeguards, could be devised for those in Mr Conway’s narrowly defined group who could safely be provided with assistance to die without affecting the legitimate aim of the protection of the weak and vulnerable, said counsel.

Mr Strachan said that Mr Conway’s “tragic and distressing” circumstances could only evoke the deepest sympathy. But, the circumstances which led the Supreme Court to refuse such a declaration had not changed so as to make a different outcome justified. It is simply wrong that those who are of sound mind but are terminally ill or incurably suffering are denied the choice and dignity to die at a time of their choosing.

But I think she knew this time was different. As we filled out the extensive paperwork to check her in, she pleaded with us, “You’re my advocate, right? You guys will make sure they take good care of me? We knew she meant we should look out for her best interests, to make the right decisions.

The dream was extremely long, and I forgot a good deal of it, but i’ll try to share all that I remember, because it still affects me pretty strongly. I standing at some movie theater, and just hanging outside and pissed as hell for some reason. I step up tto pay for the movie, but I’m short on like 5 cents and look like an idiot. Then some girl, whose in a wheelchair and kinda thin and pale, sickly looking I guess pays it and asks me if I want a date, cause I’m there alone.

I don’t want to at first, but I don’t want to hurt her feelings either. So we go to the movie and i find out she has similar interests, blah blah blah then we start going out. I don’t remember all of it, but I marry her because I feel guilty that shes getting more sick. She gets sicker and sicker, and I keeper devoting more and more time to her. And I’m alone for a while then wake up. Sorry I can’t get much more specific, but it happened two days ago, and this is my first time on this site.

And my dreams are usually pretty trippy, but this one was very very realistic, like waking up and wondering what day it is. And it’s 3rd person, Im seeing this happen in front of me for all the dream except the first few minutes, with the date.
